Р.Т. MAGOMEDOVA. CHAMALI-RUSSIAN DICTIONARY. The dictionary contains 8000 most frequently used Chamali words, which is an oral language belonging to the Iberian-Caucasian, family. All Chamali words, both vocables and illustrations of usage, are given with accent marks. Nouns and and verbs are followed by their main grammar forms - forms of the genetive and plurals for nouns, past and future forms, imperatives and adverbial participles for verbs. To bettershow the full meaning of a word, vocables are supplied with exemplary instances (word-groups, phrases, idioms/ proverbs and sayings). A dialect form is also adduced if it differs from the appropriate form of the principal dialect. As a supplement a list of microtoponyms, a brief grammar survey and a Rassian-Chamali index of words are also given. The dictionary is of great value for apecialists in the Caucasian and comparative linguistics, history of culture of the Caucasian peoples.
